As of January 1st 2008, Malta will be joining the Euro zone and thus doing away with its Maltese Lira currency in exchange of the Euro.

Since the Chancery of the Grand Priory of the Mediterranean is based in Malta:
Since most of the Commanderies and Deputations of the Grand Priory fall into the Euro zone (including Malta, Gozo, Italy, France, Greece, Portugal etc):
And since the passage fees and membership dues have been unaltered and in Maltese Lira since the founding of the Grand Priory:

The Council of Knights of the Grand Priory of the Mediterranean of the Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem have decreed that the below will be the updated and revised passage fees and membership dues as at January 1st 2008.

Dame Grand Cross (DGCLJ)	800 Euros.	200 Euros.

Upgrades from the rank of Member (MLJ) to Commander (CLJ) of the Order will be set at 60 Euros per grade, whilst upgrades from the rank of Commander (CLJ) of the Order onwards will be set at 100 Euros per grade.

Members joining the Order will receive their brevet and certificate, their insignia and a book on the history of the Order.
