Grand Priory of Brazil - gearing up for the Investiture of 2013 in Rio in March 2013 (November 2012)
The Grand Priory of Brazil has published a number of videos and posted them in the public domain, depicting its constant and hands-on Hospitaller work in this country, especially in impoverished regions. Such a constant attention to Hospitaller work has made the Brazilian Grand Priory a strong and dynamic team with a very dedicated group of Grand Priory leaders headed by their Grand Prior, Chevalier Roberto Ortiz.
Chevalier Ortiz was consecrated Grand Prior and raised a Knight of Grace of the Order of Saint Lazarus by the Supreme Grand Prior of the Order, H.E. Richard Comyns of Ludston GCLJ GCMLJ in the historic castle of the Knights of Malta in Selmun during a properly conducted investiture of the Order. Subsequently two other hugely successful investitures of the Grand Priory of Brazil were executed in Sao Paolo in 2011 and 2012, with Grand Officers of the Order flying in to ensure that this hardy team of Hospitallers receive the accolades and assistance they deserve due to their uncompromising Hospitaller initiatives throughout the years.
Chevalier Ortiz, representing the Brazilian Grand Priory, has been actively participating various investitures and activities of the Order throughout the world, including the unique Lazarite International Symposium which was held in April 2012.
On behalf of the Supreme Grand Priory, we wish our Brazilian confreres and Consoeurs a successful preparation for yet another landmark investiture in Brazil in March 2013.
