Vatican City - Technical Delegation from the Order in high level meetings at the Vatican on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Order (August 2015)
In the first week of August 2015, on the 20th anniversary since the founding of the Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem in London, England, a high level technical delegation from the Supreme Grand Priory of the Order was in the Vatican City for talks related to the Order's growth and various initiatives throughout the world. The delegation from the Saint Lazarus Foundation was led by the Grand Chancellor and Chairman of the Saint Lazarus Foundation, Dr. Massimo Ellul.
His Holiness, Pope Francis, bestowed upon the members of the Saint Lazarus Foundation his blessing (see photo).
The relationship between the Order of Saint Lazarus and the Vatican have now been ongoing for many years and are executed in very cordial and mutually understanding environments. The Order, itself an ecumenical Christian chivalric organisation, ensures that the best rapport between its top level structures and the various Christian denominations which are mirrored in its extensive membership worldwide are always kept with exemplary mutual respect, friendly cooperation and the constant need for transparency from all sides. During this year, other technical meetings have been held with the heads of various other Christian denominations with resounding success.
