Sao Paulo: Donations to the Disabled Military Police (April 2016)
The Order of Saint Lazarus, by means of its very active Commandery of Sao Paulo within the Grand Priory of Brazil conducted a visit to the Association of Disabled Military Police of the State of Sao Paulo (APMDFESP) on the 20th of April 2016.
Founded in 1993, the APMDFESP operates not only on the physical and psychological rehabilitation of disabled military police and their dependents, but embraces other struggles that relate to working conditions and salaries of these professionals.
Representatives of the Commandery of Sao Paulo discussed with the Presidency of this organization and the directors of the different departments about the ways that they can help this association.On this day, the Commandery donated the first of a series of donations, comprising of a wheelchair and 13 packages of adult diapers to APMDFESP. This is just the first step of a deeper partnership that will assure that our Commandery will be able to help even more these worthy servers of the nation.
