Investiture of the Grand Priory of Ecuador
A strong delegation of more than twenty active members of the Order hailing from Ecuador travelled to the Second International Lazarite Symposium which was held in Nevis Island and Saint Kitts between the 4th and the 8th of June 2014. In the sacred and solemn investiture held at the Saint Thomas Parish church in Nevis, the Grand Investing Officers of the United Grand Priories of the Order, led by the Grand Chancellor and the Grand Receiver General, officially consecrated the new Grand Priory of Ecuador and appointed the Chevalier Carlos Oswaldo Jaramillo Ponce KLJ as the new Grand Prior of this very active jurisdiction.
Ten other postulants, four of which are Consoeurs, from Ecuador were also brought into the Order and received their insignia and brevets of membership. The Grand Chancellor thanked the Ecuadorian team for the constant Hospitaller work that they have already been responsible for even though their respective Grand Priory was still in formation. Chev. Massimo Ellul also personally thanked the new Grand Prior of Ecuador for his commitment.
