Celebrations of the 25th Anniversary of the United Grand Priories
Dear Confreres and Consoeurs,
This circular is being distributed to all the members and officers and volunteers of the Hospitaller Order of
Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem in the last quarter of 2019, on the eve of the year 2020 – the year in which we will
be celebrating the 25th anniversary since the founding of the United Grand Priories of the Hospitaller Order
of St. Lazarus of Jerusalem.

The International Lazarite Symposium - Malta 2020
Celebrating 25 years of Hospitaller Work Worldwide
17th, 18th, 19th of April 2020
Venue: Various venues in Malta, with the Closing Session of the Symposium, the Solemn Investiture and the Gala Dinner taking place at the Montekristo Estate.
Who is invited? All heads of jurisdictions, and their officers
Members of the Order and their family and guests
Volunteers of the Order and their family and guests
Officers and Members of the Flame of Peace Movement
Officers and Members of affiliated organisations within the Order of St. Lazarus
Sister Organisations and chivalric institutions in amity with the Order of St. Lazarus
Guest St. Lazarus organisations worldwide
Language of the Symposium: The Symposium will be held in the English language. Should delegates need assistance in language, they are urged to contact the Grand Chancery at their earliest.
Special Guests: A number of distinguished guests will be addressing the Symposium, details of which will be disseminated nearer the date.
Hotel Facilities: Foreign delegates attending the three day symposium need to inform the office of the Grand Chancery as soon as possible since we have managed to obtain a very favourable accommodation rate for them as follows:
Four Star Accommodation and all internal transportation during the Symposium is being offered for delegates and their guests at Euros 65 per room per night, on a bed and breakfast basis.
Five Star Accommodation and all internal transportation during the Symposium is being offered for delegates and their guests at Euros 200 per room per night, on a bed and breakfast basis.
Reception on 17/4/20: Rates for accommodation mentioned above also include the fee for the reception and drinks to be held on Friday 17th April 2020. Delegates and guests who do not need accommodation booked and paid for by the Grand Chancery as mentioned above will have the fee of the reception incorporated in the Gala Dinner fees of Saturday the 18th of April 2020.
Transportation: Delegates and guests who book and pay for accommodation as mentioned above have all internal transportation for the Symposium initiatives included in the fee. All other forms of internal transportation needed can be organised by the Grand Chancery and charged at Euros 15 per trip, save for trips to St. Paul’s Bay and/or Mellieha, which will be charged at Euros 20 per trip.
