Sacred Medical Knights of Hope of the United Grand Priories granted official recognition from the Nevis Island Government to issue licenses (September 2012)
We are pleased to announce that the Sacred Medical Order of the Knights of Hope, which are fully fledged members of the United Grand Priories of the Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem, has attained official recognition with the highest authorities of the Nevis Island Government. Certificates, as public documents, can now be apostilled and notarized by the Order's island law firm. The Apostille Convention, or the Apostille Treaty is an international treaty drafted by the Hague Conference on Private International Law. It specifies the modalities through which a document issued in one of the signatory countries can be certified for legal purposes in all the other signatory states. Such a certification is called an apostille (French: certification). It is an international certification comparable to a notarization in domestic law.
With this governmental recognition, SMOKH can now issue world-wide clerical medical licenses for Missionary Medicine. This will inevitably ensure even more Hospitaller work worldwide by SMOKH dedicated knights and dames.
